For one hour every day however, there are actually three days observed at the same time on Earth, occurring UTC 10:00–UTC 10:59. For example if it is UTC 10:15 Thursday, it is Wednesday 23:15 in Samoa, which is 11 hours behind UTC and Friday, 00:15 in Kiritimati, which is 14 hours ahead of UTC. It actually lasts two hours, extending to just before noon UTC, when there are three days simultaneously on Earth if you include the time zone 12 hours behind UTC, but no one lives in this time zone, and it is only a nautical time zone.
